Earlier today as I was heading to meet up with a friend, I was watching a particular man who had caught my attention. This man looked high on something and as I watched Him, I began to speak to the Lord about the end time revival and why we need His glory to come down soon. I was also speaking to Him about the need for spirit filled Christians to begin casting demons out of many that were in bondage. See, according to me, this man was in bondage and he needed to be set free.
To be honest, I’ve been speaking to the Lord these two things (revival and the need for Christians to use their God given authority to cast out demons) as I realize more and more how much in need this fallen world is of God.
Romans 8:19
For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are.
So today, the Lord used the story of the woman that was caught in adultery to respond to me .
Here’s what He said…
The Lord reminded me the words that He spoke to the woman who had been caught in adultery after her accusers had all left her before His presence (the full story is in John 8:1-11).
He particularly highlighted verse 11 to me. It says, “She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her,
“Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”
The Lord used this story to teach me that just like the woman caught in adultery, a lot of times we deliberately engage in stuff that we should be because often times know that its wrong to do them yet we choose to continue to engage in those things. He was telling me that not everything is the work of demons rather its because we CHOSE to sin deliberately. Think about the number of things that you have done hyet you knew that it was wrong to do it, I know I’ve done this countless times.
Just like the woman caught in adultery, we have the power to stop sinning deliberately. As you read this, think about the many things that you know you have to stop doing as soon as you read this simply because by continuing to do them, you are sinning.
You do not need to attend another deliverance session, you simply need to stop doing some things by purposely making a decision to stop engaging in those things. After all, God has given us free will and we have the choice either to choose to continue to sin or to walk away from our sinful lifestyles.
The Lord Does Not Condemn You
The Lord doesn’t condemn you for the things that you have done. Once you confess your sins, He forgives and forgets. He doesn’t keep a record of our wrongs once we repent and turn over a new leaf.
Isaiah 43:25 – “I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.
So forgive yourself for the things you’ve done. Those regrets will only hold you back. Don’t allow the enemy to trap you in the bondage of regret.
So, in the words of the Lord Jesus Christ,
GO AND SIN NO MORE!
